Graduating from Royal Academy Opera, Katie Bray has been awarded the Royal Academy of Music’s 2012 Principal’s Prize for exceptional all-round studentship, an award presented to just one graduand from the Academy each year. This distinction follows her Glyndebourne debut as Second Bridesmaid in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, a performance to be repeated in the Royal Albert Hall on August 28 as part of the BBC Proms. In October, Katie Bray will also make her debut with English Touring Opera in Viktor Ulmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis.
