We have played this work hundreds of times and have read a lot about when Shostakovich was composing this outstanding soul-awakening masterpiece and for the first time we will be able to experience and to really feel it physically there!”
Previous recipients of the Award include Michail Jurowski, Natalia Gutman and Kurt Sanderling.
