We are delighted to welcome the renowned violinist Jennifer Pike for General Management.
Having first gained international recognition as the youngest-ever winner of the BBC Young Music of the Year, aged 12, she has gone on to establish a position in the wider musical scene as a talented instrumentalist, recitalist and chamber musician. She regularly plays throughout Europe with conductors including Jirí Belohlávek, Martyn Brabbins, Sir Mark Elder, Andris Nelsons, Tugan Sokhiev and Sir Roger Norrington.
Highlights from the upcoming season include Dvořák with the Royal Swedish Philharmonic and Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Sibelius with the BBC Philharmonic and Juanjo Mena.
Her recent recording of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the City of Birmingham Symphony and Edward Gardner for Chandos was acclaimed in the Observer for her “innate musicality and mercurial technique”.
Jennifer Pike has recently been invited to become an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and Foundation for Children and the Arts.
