This month’s Strad magazine has a special focus on young Norwegian violinist Sonoko Miriam Welde.
Winner of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Virtuos” competition, Sonoko Miriam Welde returns there to perform the Sibelius violin concerto with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra this week.
A rising star in her native Norway, her first performance was with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Andrew Litton. Last season she performed at the Oslo Philharmonic summer concert.
She has been specially chosen for the Crescendo mentoring scheme, which she is delighted to join in 2017.
