We are thrilled to announce that the Borodin Quartet will be performing Martinu's Concerto for String Quartet and Orchestra and Schulhoff's Concerto for String Quartet and Wind Orchestra on Wednesday 7 November 2018 with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski.
The Borodin Quartet are excited to continue their ongoing collaboration performing this repertoire internationally with Maestro Jurowski. This concert in London follows a critically acclaimed appearance with the Staatskapelle Dresden for three concerts in January 2017 and a forthcoming concert with the State Academic Orchestra of Russia this February. The quartet have relished the opportunity to venture outside of the chamber music repertoire.
Borodin Quartet, which in the seventy years of its existence has continued its reputation as a string quartet of world rank despite the changing line-up, led the solo part very homogeneously, with precision and internal balance.

The conductor and orchestra were joined by a string quartet. Not just any string Quartet, rather the Borodin Quartet
