Catriona Morison and David Shipley feature in BBC Proms 2019

We are delighted to announce two of our Rayfield Allied singers will be performing at this year's BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Prom 26: Mozart Requiem

Wednesday 7 August 2019 at 7.00pm

Outstanding British bass David Shipley returns to the Proms for a performance of Mozart's Requiem with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Nathalie Stutzmann. His previous performances at the Proms include critically acclaimed performances of L'enfant et les sortilèges (Arbre and Fauteuil) with the London Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle and A Patchwork Passion with the City of London Sinfonia under Sofi Jeannin, featuring works by composers ranging from J.S. Bach, Handel, Heinrich Schütz and Sofia Gubaidulina.

Prom 39: Elgar, Mendelssohn and Mussorgsky

Winner of the 2017 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Main Prize and joint winner of the Song Prize Catriona Morison makes her Proms debut in Elgar’s sumptuous Sea Pictures, a vivid musical portrait of the sea in its many moods. She also performs Errollyn Wallen's BBC Commission and World Premiere This Frame Is Part of the Painting. Catriona joins the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Emil Chan. Catriona is a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, 2017-2019.
