On 28 February, Dame Emma Kirkby celebrates her 70th birthday and long-standing career with a concert at Wigmore Hall, sharing the stage with close musical associates and a younger generation of artists, inspiring the future of early music. Performers include her group Dowland Works, the Fieri Consort vocal group, the Chelys Consort of Viols, soprano Miriam Allan, harpsichordist Steven Devine and lutenist Jakob Lindberg.
Dame Emma is recognised worldwide for her elegant and intelligent musicianship, with a career spanning nearly 40 years.
