Acclaimed violinist Jennifer Pike releases her latest album on Chandos in January 2019. The Polish Violin features music which has become increasingly important to her as she explores her family heritage and which now plays a major part in her recital repertoire, notably during her series of three Polish-themed concerts at the Wigmore Hall in 2017.
The music she has chosen explores both the virtuosic and the lyrical, and features works by Karłowicz, Szymanowski, Wieniawski and Moszkowski.
Jennifer appeared on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour to discuss the new disc and that can be heard now on the new BBC Sounds service.
