French tenor Christophe Mortagne is in high demand for character tenor roles such as Guillot de Morfontaine Manon, Le Roi Bobèche Barbe-bleue, title role Le Roi Carotte, Spalanzani and Four Servants Les Contes d’Hoffmann and Triquet Eugene Onegin. He works regularly at major houses around the world including the Metropolitan Opera, New York; La Scala, Milan; Dutch National Opera and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
A former member of La Comédie-Française, Christophe receives the highest praise for his “superbly characterful” (New York Times) and “colourful and incisive” (Opera magazine) performances.
