Mezzo Anna Harvey has reached the final of the Meistersinger of Nürnberg Singing Competition, which takes place on Thursday, 27 July, 7PM local time at Staatstheater Nuremberg.
Anna won the 1st Prize at this year’s Paris Opera Competition and is a previous winner of the Audience and Oratorio Prizes at the IVC ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Highlights of the current season included new productions of La clemenza di Tito (Annio) and Katya Kabanova (Varvara) at Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Madama Butterfly (Suzuki) at Welsh National Opera. Her debut recital disc, Songs by Warlock and Howe, which includes several world premiere recordings of the composers’ songs, was released on Rubicon last month.
