A new recording of Handel's Amadigi, conducted by Christian Curnyn and featuring Hilary Summers as Dardano was released on 16th September 2022.
It is only the third recording of Handel's opera and was chosen by the Guardian's Erica Jeal as her 'pick of the week'. Jeal writes that this recording "should help win the opera some new friends", and praises Hilary Summers' "distinctive steel-cored contralto" whose aria Pena tiranna is the opera's "emotional heart".

Christian and Hilary will rejoin forces in Early Opera Company's Dido and Aeneas, touring to Brugge and Eindhoven this October. You will also be able to catch Christian at the Royal Opera House, conducting a new production of Alcina, which opens on 8th November.
