Rayfield Allied is delighted to welcome keyboardist Anthony Romaniuk on to our roster for General Management.
An interest in jazz at a young age, as well as classical training in New York and subsequent immersion in early music in the Netherlands allows him to transverse the borders between genres, exploring the timbres of harpsichord, fortepiano, piano and electronic instruments such as the Fender Rhodes all within the same recital, often including improvisation.
His first solo disc Bells was released on Alpha in 2020 and covers music from the 14th century Het Gruuthuse-Handschrif through to Ligeti and Crumb on multiple instruments, and was described by Gramophone Magazine as an "eclectic, imaginatively programmed keyboard journey".
His regular chamber partners include the violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, flautist Toshiyuki Shibata and tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen, and he appears frequently with Lionel Meunier and Vox Luminis where he is a core member.
In 2022 he directs the Seattle Symphony Orchestra from the keyboard and has previously worked with the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Anthony Romaniuk is managed at Rayfield Allied by Ralph Blackbourn
