On the 24th January 2022, the Trio Isimsiz gave the much-anticipated world premiere of Francisco Coll’s new piano trio. It was performed at the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical in Madrid, with a further performance the day after for the Sociedad Filarmónica de Badajoz for their ‘Música Actual’ series. Spanish national newspaper wrote that the "prodigious" Trio Isimsiz "shone...the verve of the prodigious young group... unleashes the vigor of Shostakovich's compositions...The concert offers several impressions, the first, of the great quality of the Trio, who succeeded in all of the tests of such a demanding programme."
The piece will receive its UK premiere at the Aldeburgh Festival in June 2022. Trio Isimsiz are former participants in the Britten Pears Young Artists Programme, and Britten Pears Arts were co-commissioners of the piece, alongside the Borletti-Buitoni Trust, and the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (Madrid).
Later this season, the Trio return to Spain to perform at Festival Emergents at L’Auditori Barcelona, and perform at the Heidelberger Frühling Festival.
