We are thrilled to welcome conductor Tim Anderson to Rayfield Allied for general management, where he will be managed by Christoph Mayr.
Anglo-German conductor Tim Anderson is rapidly making a name for himself as an interpreter of 20th and 21st century repertoire. He has conducted for companies such as the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Teatro Real Madrid, Dutch National Opera, Opéra National de Montpellier, and Stadttheater Klagenfurt. Future plans include his house debut at Semperoper Dresden. In concert, he has appeared with contemporary music ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, and London Sinfonietta and at venues including Vienna’s Konzerthaus, London’s Southbank Centre and Barbican, and Katowice’s NOSPR Hall. Notable repertoire includes Salvatore Sciarrino's Il canto s'attrista, perché? and Bernhard Lang’s Hiob, (both world premieres in Klagenfurt), Philip Venables’ Denis and Katya (Amsterdam, Montpellier, London, Wales), Gerald Barry’s The Intelligence Park (Birmingham), and Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Greek (30th-anniversary production, London).
He studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, New College, Oxford, and at the Jorma Panula Academy in Helsinki. As an assistant, he most recently worked with Vladimir Jurowski (Das Rheingold, LPO), Sir Donald Runnicles (Die Walküre, Deutsche Oper Berlin), Ivor Bolton (Rusalka, Teatro Real Madrid), Nicholas Carter (Brett Dean's Hamlet, Adelaide Festival), and Giancarlo Andretta (Le nozze di Figaro, Glyndebourne Festival).
