Francesca Chiejina joins the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective for their newest release ‘Transfigured’ on the Chandos Label out today.
Called by Gramophone Magazine as ‘a programme devised with a satisfyingly progressive logic as an imaginary evening c 1901 spent in the company of Vienna’s musical luminaries and would-be revolutionaries’ (Peter Quantril) and ‘a thoughtfully linked collection, beautifully presented’ (Andrew Clements, The Guardian), the album includes works by Arnold Schoenberg, Alma Mahler, Anton Webern, and Alexander von Zemlinsky.
The release marks the start of an exciting season for Chiejina who makes her debut in the title role of Semele at Blackheath Halls on the 26th of September.
