Rayfield Allied is thrilled to welcome conductor Jakob Lehmann to the roster for general management.
Jakob is a conductor for whom stylistic awareness and historically informed performance are the pillars of emotionally sincere and energetic interpretations. He regards as one of his main objectives the collaborative convergence of historically informed performance styles with more traditional approaches.
Jakob Lehmann is managed worldwide (excluding North America) by Nicki Wenham.
He has most recently had a big success conducting Les Siècles in performances of Bruckner's Symphony No 9, including at the Brucknerfest Linz as part of the 200th anniversary celebrations. He also made his Théâtre des Champs-Elysées debut with them in a programme of Schubert Symphony No 8 and Beethoven Symphony No 5. Other debuts this season include those with the Brucknerorchester Linz, Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein, Orchestra La Scintilla, Collegium Novum Zürich, Wiener Concert-Verein, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and in North America with the Juilliard Orchestra and Juilliard415, as well as return projects with Vienna’s Tonkünstler Orchester including three concerts at Vienna’s Musikverein, and projects with Concerto Köln, the Orchestra of the 18th Century, La Banda Storica Bern and Anima Eterna Brugge.
Jakob is also Artistic Director of Eroica Berlin and Associate Artistic Director of New York based Belcanto festival Teatro Nuovo, where later this season he returns to conduct Verdi’s “Macbeth”.
