11 June 2024

Nick Pritchard, Zubin Kanga and Laura Bowler are all part of the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, 7 - 23 June 2024.

Nick Pritchard will perform Britten's Saint Nicholas, Op. 42 with Britten Sinfonia, conducted by Jessica Cottis, on 15 June 2024. The concert recreates the first-ever Aldeburgh Festival concert. Also on 17 June 2024, he will join Gweneth Ann Rand and Allyson Devenish to perform the Festival's third Messiaen song cycle.

On 18 June Zubin Kanga makes his Aldeburgh Festival debut alongside Explore Ensemble, premiering Larry Goves’s new concerto ‘the curious codes of silence’, combining real and virtual pianos. The programme also features a performance of Laura Bowler’s solo piano and multimedia work SHOW(ti)ME, combining the piano with a range of technologies including live video and audio and MiMu sensor gloves that shape sounds in the air.
