We’re delighted to announce the representation of Yshani Perinpanayagam for General Management.
Yshani’s career as a multi-genre conductor, pianist and arranger has seen her perform in projects as diverse as Kurt Weill’s Street Scene for Opéra de Paris, Monteverdi’s The Coronation of Poppea for English Touring Opera and Philip Venables’ The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions for Manchester International Festival, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Bregenzer Festspiele, Holland Festival and Ruhrtriennale.
As a pianist she has performed The Lehman Trilogy for National Theatre and works regularly with the Comedy Store Players on improvised shows.
Her commitment to new work has seen her premiere music by composers including Charlotte Bray, Joe Cutler, Gavin Higgins, Hannah Kendall, Benjamin Oliver, Alex Paxton and Kate Whitley. In 2022 she conducted the first staged performances of Freya Waley-Cohen’s Spell Book at Longborough Festival Opera alongside her new arrangement of Francesca Caccini’s La liberazione di Ruggiero.
Yshani is currently performing in Ruination at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre, a modern reimagining of the Medea myth by Ben Duke’s Lost Dog dance company, who she previously collaborated with on Goat. Further ahead she appears at the Park Avenue Armory in New York in The Faggots and Their Friends.
Yshani is represented by Ralph Blackbourn
