This week's #RAArtistinFocus is harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani, who this week appears with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, performing Robert Gerhard's extremely rarely performed and technically demanding Concerto for Harpsichord.
In his debut performance of the work, Mahan demonstrates his pre-eminence in 20th century repertoire for the harpsichord.
To be performing Gerhard's concerto in the composer's native Catalonia renders this collaboration even more notable.
