Huge congratulations to Sō Percussion and Caroline Shaw, whose album 'Rectangles and Circumstance' won the Grammy Award for Best Chamber/Small Ensemble Performance last night.
The album comprises of ten songs co-written and performed by the artists, and follows up their two collaborative albums from 2021 - 'Narrow Sea', a song cycle that won the 2022 Grammy for Best Contemporary Classical Composition, and 'Let the Soil Play Its Simple Part', which features songs that Shaw and Sō Percussion developed over three days of studio time, experimenting with ideas that arose while recording Narrow Sea.
The disc received critical acclaim from international press, and is toured in the live show 'Who Turned Out the Light'. You can hear the album here.
